Purpose-built Artesina’s main features are big mileage, convenience and value. It’s also very friendly, kind to beginners and an easy 2hr transfer from Turin.
Artesina resembles the French Alpes du Sud resorts just over the border and the area covers about 100km of easy and intermediate skiing. Many slopes face North for added snow security and the modern lift system has new, powerful snow cannons. Artesina doesn’t have to rely on them though because, like Prato Nevoso, it has excellent natural conditions.
The link to Prato is dead easy for all abilities thanks to 2 new blue runs. Progression is terrific for keen learners and plenty of long, wide runs above the trees, which invite ambitious intermediates to work hard and get off that plateau! This circuit offers enough for advanced skiers using the whole of the system but experts should look elsewhere. It’s all typical Italian skiing, user-friendly, sociable and great fun.
The terrain at Artesina is great for snowboarders.
Artesina village is small and purpose-built for the skier so it’s really convenient and virtually traffic free. You can ski right up to the terrace of our hotel. There are a few shops, cafes, restaurants and other facilities. The ski shop is right by our hotel and everything is close to hand.
