Resort Overview

As a serious skiers’ resort, Bormio is up there with the best in Italy and regularly hosts World Cup races. We recommend it unreservedly for traditionalists who demand character with their skiing.

On The Slopes

The ski area is tall and snow-sure, good for intermediates and advanced, who revel in long runs through trees and high speed cruises.

Beginners can enjoy fantastic conditions on the high but manageable blues and nursery slopes at 2000m. Experts don’t have much piste skiing, just a couple of good blacks, but they do have some of the best powder and off-piste in Italy, and they can buy an extension lift pass which includes Livigno and Santa Caterina.

Snowboarding

The terrain at Bormio is great for snowboarders.

Off The Slopes

Bormio is almost unique in the ski world and anyone who loves Italian life and atmosphere won’t need the skiing! The après ski is excellent.

Amazing medieval town. Often voted the most beautiful ski resort in the world.
